Kiam Boerema

Kiam spent more than a decade in the U.S. Army, most of it as a Special Forces officer leading Green Beret teams and directing operations for multi-national task forces. He now works with Army and special operations organizations at Legion Intelligence, matching agentic AI to the problems those teams are actually carrying. Before Legion, Kiam led business development at Palladyne AI, a defense autonomy company building drone orchestration and autonomous behaviors for contested environments. He thinks about the gap between what a system can do in a demo and what a team will trust when the consequences are real, and he spends most of his time with the people who have to answer for that choice.
